Gent motor driven striking gear

This is a “motor driven striking gear” also made by the Gent company and purposed to strike tower clock bells. Every 30th and 60th minute the engine receives a puls from the C7 master clock, the contact arm ( gray) is pulled downward by the electromagnets, the contact (front right) closes, the motor stars to run and the striking arm comes in action. The number of beats is determined by the brass disc with slots (locking plate).

The contact, with the voltage of the grid, is hardly screened and easy to touch. So today this engine would not stand  security tests
